TrackMaster T: Cruisin’ The California Coast May 28 2014
It has been a busy year so far for the TrackMaster T as it makes its rounds to some of the largest car shows up and down the California Coast. After debuting at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the first stop was in January for the 65th Annual Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona where the Carrell Speedway Special, along with its bare metal counterpart, was debuted to a crowd of over 20,000 people. Then it was featured in the Pro Builder’s Pavilion at the Inaugural O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Machine & Muscle Car Nationals presented by Lucas Oil in March. The TrackMaster crew wrapped up the spring show circuit at the Goodguys Meguiar's 14th Del Mar Nationals in April.
The crowd reaction can be summed up by this enthusiasts comment, “This roadster has redefined the ’23 Ford T-bucket’s place in the hot rod food chain. It’s refined, fast and capable of Super Car performance.” As the first of a limited production run of 10 roadsters, the TrackMaster T is undergoing daily testing for over-the-road ride and handling, plus track testing for the ultra-performance it is capable of.
It’s been a busy first quarter, but there is much more to come in 2014 including a studio shoot with the Carrell Speedway Special for Street Rodder Magazine. Stay tuned for more on that next week with a Behind the Scenes look into the shoot with famed car photographer Randy Lorentzen.
